The lucky country, Large houses, large blocks of land, usable rooftops, entertainment areas and a driveway – what else is there to have. A solar road. Earlier this year the first commercial solar road installation was launched. Where? Broken Hill, Toowoomba or Geraldton maybe … not quite, try Normandy in France.
Expensive = yes, commercial = yes, does it work = yes. This is an expensive 1000m of road on a commercial scale and engineered for regular road traffic.
Have a look in around your yard, I think within 5 years this could be a real option for the great Australian paver and/or your own driveway. I am hoping for cost base will drop significantly as well with these low traffic areas and great potential with higher probability of sun and solar intensity than Normandy.

Next …. synthetic solar turf …. I am not so sure about that.
Stay safe. Be Smart!
